Production Logistics NZ Ltd was incorporated in 1989 as an Electrical Automation and Control System Integrator working primarily for the manufacturing sector designing, installing and servicing PLC based Automation and SCADA applications.

Today PLNZ continues in the industry sector having maintained a relationship with some of our original clients and adding others, many of who are established blue ribbon companies, while also extending our services now to infrastructure industries that have the need to utilise similar technology and the expertise which we have acquired in this domain.

Throughout this time the Company has been recognised as an approved Rockwell Automation System Integrator but we also provide solutions based on client preferences utilising equipment provided by other industry suppliers such as Schneider and Siemens.

As an independent company we are able to provide solutions based on the best fit for purpose with an emphasis on quality and best practise standards.

Personal service is a key part of our business. PLNZ’s core group of Engineers are long serving and maintain a one to one relationship with our clients where they are respected by their peers.

A significant portion of our work involves both PLC and SCADA technology where our revenue is split evenly between commercial industry projects carrying out expansion or technology upgrades, infrastructure projects such as water and waste water treatment plants and continuing support and service for our client base.

Typical projects carried out include a major upgrade of an Auckland Flour Mill, two Water Treatment plants in Suva Fiji, a National SCADA system in the Cooke Islands for the Power Authority, Auckland Airport fuel storage and dispensing, Chemical tank farm Automation and a Wheat storage and handling system. Projects range in value from 20k to our largest turn key projects at $800k and $1.7m.

It is our policy is to share our knowledge with client personnel such as their electrical staff in order that they can maintain their sites while utilising our services as their back up resource.

Where necessary, we also provide onsite, hands on training on specific equipment for front line electrical staff, enabling them to maintain their equipment on a 24/7 basis.

In 1993 Production Logistics commenced the development of logo-aspect_pl, a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for discrete manufacturers and in 2009 Aspect was incorporated into a new company “Aspect Productivity Technology Ltd” a software development company who are commercialising the product.
